This morning, I had the pleasure of photographing Huxley, a 9 year old little dogger that is cuter than the day is long.
With the help of my buddy Tim at ACAC, we pulled off a fundraiser calendar for RHR. I think Tim & I decided that we did a few days worth of work in around 5 hours. This was my second time, ever, in a studio using lights, and it was very daunting, especially given the circumstances of the day. However, I think I did quite well and I believe this calendar is going to be a massive success!
We had the greatest volunteers ever, and between our models, hair & makeup artists and the awesome RHR adopters, the turn out was phenomenal!
I can't wait to get the calendar put together and to the presses. The theme is Hotties With Rotties, and I have to say, the studio was on FIRE! (No, seriously, it got really warm in there!)
Here's a screenshot from my editing software of Mister & Miss May.

After a hectic day at the office, I spent the evening attempting to photograph 11 Rottweiler mixed puppies... individually and as a group. These guys & gals were born to a momma dog, Gypsy, that was pulled from a high-kill shelter a mere 72 hours before delivering! Their foster mom has done a FANTASTIC job with them, and deserves only the highest accolades for taking on this endeavor, in light of a full time job, two children, and three of her own dogs. So big kudos, CB!
A couple of weeks ago, I shot a Flower Session for a friend of mine and her dog, Lord, who was diagnosed with lymphoma a few months back. For our session, we had a great time playing ball in the backyard with his RHR alumni sister, Chella, and towards the end of his session, we photographed him in his favorite chair. He was his normal happy self... maybe toned down just a touch, but if you didn't know him, it wouldn't have been obvious.
