Rupert.
He was the name of the game for this morning's session, and it was nothing short of perfection. Even though the weather was dreary, and it was drizzling when Rupert, his Human and I met at our Raleigh locale, the Universe worked with in our favor and we had a blast.

Rupert belongs to Kelly. Well, Kelly sort of belongs to Rupert. On second thought, they belong to each other. Seriously. This duo had a bond like nobody's business. Though he has recently lost his vision at 10 years young, this handsome Australian cattle dog managed to make it clear that he only had eyes for his Human.
Kelly and Rupert have been together since Rupert was a naughty babydog that chewed his way through whatever crossed his path. In that ten year time frame, Rupert has become a dignified adult whose intelligence knows no bounds. This team has worked together and it is truly incredible to watch how in sync they are. Before he lost his sight, Rupert did agility and obedience; now, he focuses on tricks and scent work to keep him occupied. While Rupert was kept on a leash through his session, he held position and responded to voice commands from Kelly. I felt like a bit of a broken record, as I told Kelly repeatedly how easy her boy was making my day.
Kelly & Rupert, it was an absolute pleasure to work with you. I can't wait to show you your images. And though I try really hard not to post "sneak peeks", sometimes you just have to, and this is one of those times.
